Description
Schwartz Ground Turmeric has a rich, complex woody aroma and a warm, slightly bitter ginger-like taste. It’s brilliant yellow colour means that is it widely used as a colouring ingredient in a variety of foods. Saute with chilli powder, mustard seeds and oil for spicy Bombay potatoes. For a Caribbean chicken rub, blend turmeric, curry powder, cayenne pepper, cumin and ground black pepper. Turmeric adds flavour and depth to Moroccan tagines and Indian and Thai curries.
